Japan in a spin over no-detergent washing machine

Japanese electrical giant Sanyo has unveiled what it says is the world’s first washing machine that doesn’t need detergent.

Sanyo’s new Denkaisui model range uses ultrasonic waves and electrolysis instead of messy liquids or powders, the Osaka-based company says.
