IBEC search for revitalistation of e-business industry

The employers group IBEC is calling on the Government to make moves towards the redevelopment of the Irish e-business sector.

IBEC said that the foot-and-mouth crisis and the slowdown in the US economy made it imperative that Ireland exploited its advantage in the information and technological sectors.

The group wants schemes such as the setting up of an Information Society Commission, renewed energy in the e-business market and electronic transactions with clients.
