Siemens unveils business-friendly Bluetooth device
Siemens has unveiled a new gadget to allow businesses to embrace Bluetooth wireless networking technology.
Blu21 is intended to give network users internet access from any web-enabled device, without the need for wires or cables.
The mouse-sized gadget plugs into a PC or laptop to give employees access to their corporate intranet wherever they happen to be in the office.
Bluetooth, named after a 10th century Viking King who succeeded in uniting Denmark and Norway, uses short range radiowaves to link devices wirelessly.
It is among the next generation technologies stealing the limelight at this year's CeBIT, the world's largest telecoms and IT trade fair currently being held in Hanover.
