Trade figures ease City fears

The City has received a boost as provisional figures show the UK's trade deficit with non-European Union countries last month was significantly smaller than forecast.

Figures from the Office for National Statistics estimate the trade deficit with non-EU countries at £2.1 billion for February, down from £2.4 billion in January.
