Securicor's dotcom promises safer e-shopping

Securicor has launched a web shopping portal aimed at reluctant e-shoppers.

Safedoor.com claims to provide the safest online shopping environment to date.

Users need only register their credit card details once to begin shopping with the site's retail partners.

The company cites research illustrating that the fear of fraud remains a considerable barrier to e-commerce growth.

At launch Safedoor has 14 e-tail partners already in place, including ThinkNatural, Maelstom and Kitbag.
