Turquoise registered as a trademark

A Belgian phone company has registered the colour turquoise as a trademark.

The High Court allowed Belgacom to register the colour, which it uses in commercial campaigns.

The Benelux Trademark Institute rejected the firm's claim, but Belgacom successfully appealed.
