Sega to cease hardware production of Dreamcast
Sega has announced that production of the Dreamcast console will cease at the end of March, because of huge financial losses.
The machine will continue to be marketed, but only as long as stocks last.
Sega will also continue to develop software for the console.
Sega will be working as a software company creating software for more viable platforms and are currently working on five games for Sony's PlayStation2 as well as two for the forthcoming Game Boy Advance.
