FedEx says Airbus order report pure speculation

Federal Express Corp has said a Wall Street Journal report that it is about to order 10 Airbus Industrie A380 aircraft is pure speculation at the current stage.

FedEx has been in talks for several years with Boeing Co and Airbus to discuss its needs for large, long-haul cargo aircraft, but the article is speculative, according to FedEx spokesman Greg Rossiter.
