Planet's dwindling water resources poses an existential threat

The depletion of the Earth’s water resources continues apace, but we can take decisions and actions as governments, societies and individuals to address that, writes Yasmin Siddiqi.

WE live on a parched planet. Farmers till arid pastureland, and policymakers fret over empty reservoirs, dry rivers, and thirsty cities.

And that only scratches the surface — literally — of the world’s water problem.
