H+A Marketing and PR sees ‘viable long-term future’
A spokesperson for Cork-headquartered H+A Marketing and PR — which also has offices in Galway and Dublin — said they believe the business has a viable long-term future after receiving court protection this month.
Joe Walsh of Baker Tilly Hughes Blake was appointed interim examiner to Healy Design and Advertising Limited, trading as H+A Marketing and PR, on October 7.
Managing director Brian Healy said yesterday an acquisition the business made in 2008, before the recession, saddled the company with a high level of historical debt.
“We had succeeded in stabilising revenues in recent years, so we remain confident we have a solid performing business with a viable long-term future,” he said.
“During the 70-100 days of the examinership process, our clear focus will be on restructuring the finances of the business in order to secure the future of H+A and our valued team of 22 employees.”
H+A merged with O’Sullivan PR in 2008 to create what it described at the time as a portfolio of national and international clients which had a combined revenue of approximately €5m.
O’Sullivan PR traded as a division of the newly expanded H+A until 2015 when director Ann Marie O’Sullivan announced she was establishing a new consultancy, AM O’Sullivan PR Ltd.
Earlier, Pat Kierans resigned as a director and shareholder of H+A to set up a new brand and marketing strategy company, DYJAHO.
