This barman lost his wallet over in France - and it was returned to his Galway pub

The Dáil Bar in Galway is on the hunt for a man who went the extra mile to return one of their employee’s lost property.

This barman lost his wallet over in France - and it was returned to his Galway pub

While cheering on the boys in green in Bordeaux with other members of the pub’s staff, barman John O’Connor lost his wallet.

Which is, of course, always a pain.

John had likely given up ever finding it but he did have a Dáil Bar business card in his wallet and, on Monday evening, someone arrived into the pub and handed it in - with all his money and cards still intact.

From their Facebook page:

"One of our best men lost his wallet full of cash at the Euros and a guy walks into the pub today with the wallet that he found on the streets in Bordeaux."

Unfortunately, that very kind person didn’t leave his name or number but they are determined to find out who the Good Samaritan is and, according to the Galway Independent, are even offering him a reward.

So if you have any idea who it is get in touch over on their Facebook page.
