Accumulated profits at Niall Horan firm hit €7.75m
Mr Horan established the Limerick-based firm in 2012 to capitalise on his superstardom and the company’s main activity is to ‘create, design, provide and produce’ entertainment.
The Mullingar, Co Westmeath, native has the largest Twitter following in Ireland at 25.4 million.
He operates the firm under the guidance of accountant to the stars, Alan McEvoy, and his Livewire Business Management vehicle.
Treaty Media had its best year to date, last year, on the back of Mr Horan’s gruelling touring schedule with One Direction, where the band clocked up €158.8m in concert receipts.
Treaty Media’s cashpile last year jumped 70% to just under €8.2m. However, the wealth at the firm doesn’t represent all of Mr Horan’s fortune as Forbes magazine last year estimated One Direction’s band earnings in 2015 alone stood at $130m (€116m).
The band’s firm is the UK-based 1D Media Ltd and the biggest hint yet that One Direction is no more is confirmation that Mr Horan and the other band members resigned from the board of the firm in April of this year.
In a recent press interview, Mr Horan said he is in no rush to get back to the entertainment world.
“I’ve been in the studio writing bits and pieces. Nothing is really in the pipeline in particular. I’m just keeping the mind ticking over and doing what I like,” he said.
