Robert Rosenberg of Chicago Booth School of Business — one of the top business schools in the world — is in Galway this week discussing the challenges in scaling a business.

“Building the next billion dollar company in Ireland depends on having the skillset to scale a business from a start-up and our focus is putting the structure and the skills in place now, to allow that to happen,” said NUIG adjunct lecturer in entrepreneurship Caitríona Lynch.

“It’s a privilege to work with someone of the calibre and expertise of Bob, and to draw from the vast skills and experience that he brings.”

The newly established centre for entrepreneurship at NUIG is aimed at developing a sustainable partnership between entrepreneurs and academics and bring globally-recognised talent to Galway and the West of Ireland to offer the necessary skills to help grow indigenous industry.

“The Atlantic Centre is a necessary and brave step, an effort to transform promising ideas and companies into economic drivers for the region and the country,” Mr Rosenberg said.
