Cork to host global start-up summit

The national leaders of entrepreneurship initiatives from more than 80 countries are expected to attend the Startup Nations Summit, which will take place during Global Entrepreneurship Week next November.

The event, an initiative of the Global Entrepreneurship Network, is in its fifth year and has previously been held in Ottawa, Kuala Lumpur, Seoul, and Monterrey in Mexico.

Organisers say delegates will include start-up community builders, policymakers, advisers, and public and private representatives who will use the summit to discuss how to help entrepreneurship and encourage start-up businesses.

More than 160 countries are expected to hold events to mark the week.
