Mr Shanahan established Fishy Fishy about 10 years ago. It now has a capacity for 140 customers.
The award-winning restaurant is run by Martin and his wife Marie Shanahan.
They opened their original Kinsale Gourmet Store in 1990.

The cash pile, however, fell from €523,544 to €412,627.
The figures show that wage costs at the firm, including directors’ salaries, declined marginally from €916,843 to €914,779.
The staff costs are made up of €763,866 in pay and €150,913 in pension payments.
In 2009, Mr Shanahan embarked on his first venture into television, filming the first of a successful series of television programmes, Martin’s Mad About Fish.
He also has a number of cookery books — Irish Seafood Cookery and The Seafood Lover’s Cookbook, both written with Sally McKenna, and Martin’s Fishy Fishy Cookbook, which quickly became a best seller.
More recently, Mr Shanahan teamed up with chef Paul Flynn to feature in the series Surf n’Turf, which was aired on RTÉ.
