Irish firms are ill-prepared to navigate the big technology changes coming their way and only a few have a plan in place to cope with ‘digital disruption’, according to a survey.

Consultancy firm KingramRed said the worrying findings come after it interviewed 35 different types of businesses, including Irish units of multinationals, semi-state companies, and State agencies.

David Gunning of KingramRed said 70% of firms know they are facing “digital disruption” in the next two years.
