223 staff at NTMA and Nama earn over €100k
New figures provided by Finance Minister Michael Noonan show there were 121 employees at Nama earning salaries of over €100,000 and 102 people at the NTMA on those salaries at the end of 2015.
There were 193 people on salaries of over €100,000 at the two agencies at the end of 2014.
The NTMA recruited an additional 50 staff and now employs 440. In a written Dáil reply to Fianna Fáil finance spokesman Michael McGrath, Mr Noonan said the number of staff at the NTMA on pay of over €200,000 in 2015 was 18.
One staff member was paid over €400,000 and one earned €350,000 to €400,000.
The minister also confirmed six staff members earned €300,000 to €350,000; four had pay of €250,000 to €300,000; and six earned €200,000 to €250,000.
The figures also show 27 staff at the NTMA earned €150,000 to €200,000 and 72 people earned €100,000 to €150,000. In relation to Nama, Mr Noonan said one staff member was paid over €400,000 in 2015.
Mr Noonan confirmed that three staff were paid €250,000 to €300,000; four were paid €200,000 to €250,000; 17 were paid €150,000 to €200,000; and 97 staff were paid €100,000 to €150,000.
Mr Noonan said that 50 staff members who were approved for voluntary redundancy from Nama in late 2015 are to receive redundancy and retention payments totalling €2.1m.
That comprises €1.3m in redundancy and €800,000 in retention payments.
