Star chef Kevin Dundon raises €2.1m in deal

Celebrity TV chef, Kevin Dundon and his wife, Catherine have raised €2.1 million in a transaction involving their Dunbrody Country House and restaurant. The transaction involves another company in the group that they own and does not affect the operation of the house hotel.

The transaction is disclosed in new accounts filed by the Dundons’ Dunbrody House Hotel firm which show that last year was a bumper year for the business when profits increased more than five-fold from €27,331 to €160,660.

The transaction is with another group company that operates the hotel, Marriott Park Ltd – which the Dundons own – and involves a mortgage held by Marriott Park Ltd.
