LinkedIn to hire 100 staff in Dublin
Marking five years of operations in Dublin, LinkedIn’s European headquarters, it has hired 300 people in the last year.
The 100 are additional.
Its new international headquarters, on a 17,000 sq m site, are expected to be open by the start of 2017.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny visited the site and said having one of the world’s leading internet firms was a fantastic endorsement for Ireland.
“In a short space of time, LinkedIn has become a major employer in Ireland and continues to grow,” he said.

“The calibre of people employed by LinkedIn reflects the quality of the Irish workforce and is another reason why Ireland is seen as a global centre for technology and internationalisation.”
LinkedIn connects workers and professionals in an online network and has 400m members.
“It has been fantastic to be part of driving the evolution of the company. We have grown from a team of three to a workforce of 900 people in five, short years, and we continue to expand, with the construction of our new, international headquarters, here in the city centre.
"Our location, at the heart of Europe’s digital ecosystem, means that we are ideally placed for the future,” said LinkedIn senior director of international operations and Dublin site lead, Sharon McCooey.
