Indeed and Swrve in Dublin bolster good news day for Irish jobs
Recruitment website Indeed is to grow its Irish team by 300 employees over the next two years, more than doubling its current workforce here.
The New York-based company, which is the largest of its kind in the world, established its EMEA headquarters in Ireland in March 2012.
“We now have 230 employees, representing 18 nationalities in our Dublin office serving job seekers and employers all over the word.
"We plan to more than double the size of our Irish team by 2017 to continue to expand globally, find better ways to match candidates with employers, and make it easier for people to get jobs,” Indeed president Chris Hyams said.
Meanwhile, Dublin mobile marketing company Swrve is to create 45 jobs after closing a $30m (€27.9m) funding and acquisition round.

Swrve, whose platform enables brands to deliver relevant in-app mobile interactions, will use the funding to continue the company’s global expansion and product innovation. As part of that expansion, it has acquired Californian data automation company adaptiv.io.
“This funding round, with its strong mix of US and Irish partners, and acquisition reflect incredible momentum and growth for the company.
“It also reflects the dynamic ecosystem that has been developed in Ireland for technology companies. It’s a good time to be a technology start-up in Ireland and our journey since founding Swrve five years ago certainly reflects that,” Swrve co-founder Dr Steve Collins said.
