Technology fund Atlantic Bridge is targeting investments in up to 20 companies across Europe after the first close of its new €140m fund.

In a week that saw 1,300 jobs announced by Apple and Indeed, Kehlan Kirwan talked with Steve Collins, CTO of Irish company Swrve, which announced a $30m investment and the acquisition of American business Apaptiv.io.

Apple’s announcement of 1,000 new jobs in Cork may have dominated the employment landscape yesterday but there was good news for the capital too with 345 jobs announced by two separate companies.

Gaming company Swrve has announced plans to add 100 jobs to its workforce in Ireland over the next two years.
