Union calls North dairy summit

A summit meeting for the dairy industry in the North has been organised by the Ulster Farmers Union in Belfast on August 27.

It will address some of the serious difficulties facing farmers and the challenges that lie ahead as autumn and winter approaches.

UFU dairy committee chairman Jonathan Moore said the fall in milk price has left many farmers desperately worried about the future of their businesses.
