Part-time job numbers rise in Dublin and Mid-West

The number of part-time jobs have fallen in all eight Irish regions, except for the Dublin and Mid-West areas, according to new official figures.

Detailed figures published yesterday and provided to the Irish Examiner by the CSO show across the State that part-time jobs have fallen, while the number of full-time jobs has risen.

A total of 1.929 million were employed in the State at the end of March. There were 1.489 million full-time jobs, up from 1.437m a year earlier, while there were 439,900 part-time posts, down from 450,700.
