Betfair tipped to return more cash to shareholders

Betfair is expected to continue returning sizeable amounts of cash to shareholders via special dividend payouts, over the coming years, after announcing a 70% increase in its latest annual dividend.

The London-headquartered online betting firm yesterday proposed a full-year dividend for the 12 months to the end of April of 34p (47.5c).

That figure is a rise of 70% on the previous year’s 20p payout.
