AuBren offers jobs boost for Midlands
AuBren — which is based in Portlaoise — has confirmed that it will be seeking to hire locally as part of its expansion plans.
The new jobs will be created over the next three years.
AuBren provides customers with the opportunity to outsource the design and manufacture of systems, sub-assemblies or complete products.
It currently employs a workforce of 35 at the Portlaoise Business and Technology Park and has just signed a major partnership agreement with South African company, Voltas Technologies.
Voltas is an engineering firm supplying and developing sustainable energy solutions.
The company concentrates on selecting manufacturing partners that focus not only on top-quality mass production, but also on ongoing optimisation of production processes.
Aubrey Nuzum, AuBren managing director, said that the company was looking forward to taking on talented new staff in the Midlands.
“All [will be] certainly based in Portlaoise — in the Midlands region.
“We supply complex products, so there will be a need for people to travel to carry out commissioning and activities like this.
“But they would be largely Midlands-based people and again we would be trying to train up distributors and partners — such as Voltas — so that the need for regular travel would be minimised somewhat, ” said the AuBren managing director.
