In this little country of ours, we are used to commissioning inquiries, having studies completed and reports prepared that often are so anodyne that they are more often than not consigned to the dustbins of history.

A lot of us following the proceedings of the banking inquiry would suggest that this exercise is little more than activity for the sake of activity and because the rest of us, that is the electorate, expected that there would be an inquiry.
