Concert promoter Oliver Barry has made a settlement with the Revenue Commissioners of €2.21m for the underpayment of income tax and Vat.

Mr Barry, with an address at Mulhuddart, Dublin, had been audited by the Revenue Commissioners.

He was one of 99 tax defaulters to make settlements totalling €23.13m with the Revenue between October and December last year.

The largest settlement of €4,024,375 was with accountant and tax consultant James Daly, formerly of Kinvara, Woodleigh Park, Model Farm Rd, Co Cork.

The second-largest settlement of € 2,243,520 was with a company now in liquidation, Bod Investments, with an address at St Mary’s Rd, Midleton, Co Cork.

A series of medical consultants have also been named on the list following a long-running investigation by the Revenue.

Of the 99 published cases, 35 were for amounts exceeding €100,000; of these, eight exceeded €500,000 and six exceeded €1m.
