BT Ireland profits up 10%

Pre-tax profits at the Irish arm of BT Ireland last year increased by 10% to €31m in spite of revenues dropping to €434.2m.

BT Ireland profits up 10%

Figures show that BT Communications Ireland Ltd recorded the increase in profits as revenues dropped 1% from €438.25m to €434.2m in the 12 months to the end of March 31 last.

Numbers employed at the firm last year fell from 728 to 696. The pre-tax profit last year takes account of hefty non-cash depreciation and amortisation costs of €39.57m.
