Bookseller sees performance ‘dramatically improve’

A director at one of the largest independent booksellers in the country, O’Mahony’s Booksellers, said yesterday that the firm’s performance “has improved dramatically”.

Frank O’Mahony was commenting on new figures showing that O’Mahony’s Booksellers Ltd recorded pre-tax losses of €231,924 in the 12 months to the end of February last year. This followed the firm recording a pre-tax loss of €162,917 in fiscal 2013.

Mr O’Mahony said that the “losses of the last couple of years have been dramatically stemmed this year. I am quite satisfied with how the business has performed in the current year.”
