More than 700 jobs announced

More than 700 jobs are to be created in Dublin, Kildare, Galway, and Longford as the result of four separate announcements yesterday.

A €50m expansion of retail outlet destination Kildare Village is expected to create 380 jobs when work on 36 boutiques is complete in November 2015. A total of 120 construction workers will also be employed during the expansion with the contract awarded to Dublin-based Collen Construction.

The project marks the second phase of expansion at the outlet centre outside Kildare Town and will bring the total number of employees to more than 1,000.
