Quarter of Apple’s staff in Europe now based in Cork office

A quarter of Apple’s 16,000-strong European workforce is now based in its headquarters on the northside of Cork City.

New figures on Apple’s job creation in Europe, released yesterday, show that its workforce in Cork has grown to almost 4,000 staff and accounts for about 10% of its corporate employees worldwide.

A number of business functions are carried out at the tech giants’s European headquarters including manufacturing and distribution.
