Enterprise firms’ exports hit €17bn

Export sales generated by Enterprise Ireland client firms hit an all-time high of €17.1bn last year, with the largest net increase in job creation for more than a decade also seen.

Enterprise firms’ exports hit €17bn

The export sales figure was up by 8% on 2012 levels and firms created 18,033 jobs, according to Enterprise Ireland’s annual report, published yesterday.

A net increase of 5,442 in the number of people employed amongst Enterprise Ireland firms was noted; the largest net gain in 10 years and representative, according to the agency, of the link between strong export growth and job creation.
