Dublin is 51st costliest city for expatriates

Dublin has jumped 10 places in a list of the world’s costliest places to live for expats and foreign nationals.

The capital outranks the likes of Madrid, Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Dubai, Berlin, and San Francisco as an expensive place to live for an overseas citizen, according to the latest cost-of-living survey from HR consultancy Mercer.

The study covers 211 cities and measures the comparative cost of more than 200 items in each location, including housing, food, clothing, transportation, entertainment, and household goods.
