Most popular local and regional newspapers in rebrand launch
Local Ireland is the new promotional brand unveiled by the Regional Newspapers and Printers Association of Ireland (RNPAI).
A new logo will also accompany the rebranding which will better allow the association to promote its unique advantages in the industry.
Maintaining and improving newspapers’ connections with local communities remains a priority for Local Ireland, according to RNPAI president Sean Mahon.
“Our goal is to rebrand, and indeed, reposition the RNPAI as a modern, innovative, forward thinking and powerful network of local newspaper and multi-platform publishers that delivers results for advertisers.
“[Our goals are] firstly that we deliver the most effective and trusted means of communicating with local people and local communities and, secondly, that we have national reach and scale,” he said.
Local Ireland will represent many of the best-known newspapers in the country such as the Limerick Leader, Kilkenny People and Leinster Express.
In total, 35 weekly local newspapers are represented by the network — encompassing a combined readership of close to 1.1 million people.
