Grafton Q1 revenue up 14% to €800m

Revenues at building materials group, Grafton, are nearly 14% ahead in the year to date, with the Dublin company saying trading has been "strong" and "positive" since the turn of the year.

In an interim management statement, published to coincide with the group’s AGM in Dublin yesterday, London-listed Grafton reported revenues of £654m (€800m) for the four months to the end of April.

This marked a 13.5% year-on-year increase, but was measured against a weak yearly comparison, as adverse weather conditions hampered Grafton’s start to 2013.
