NTMA pensions dwarf staff salaries

NTMA retirees receive more in their annual pension payments than over 70% of staff receive in their salaries.

The figures were provided by Finance Minister Michael Noonan in a written Dáil response to Sinn Féin’s Pearse Doherty.

Mr Noonan confirmed that one former employee at the NTMA receives a pension of between €200,000 and €300,000 per annum, with two others in receipt of a pension between €100,000 and €200,000 per annum.
