Unemployment in Ireland will drop below 10% in 2015, according to Goodbody stockbrokers who are predicting that continued investment in Ireland will help lessen the jobs crisis.

In a report entitled ‘A Jobs Friendly Recovery’, Goodbody chief economist, Dermot O’Leary believes that domestic demand and an increase in investment will result in a virtuous cycle lowering unemployment.

Mr O’Leary said that the recovery in the labour market has spread across the country and is no longer limited to booming IT sector.
