Icon buys US firm for €104m

Irish-based pharmaceutical company Icon has reached an agreement to buy US clinical trial specialist, Aptiv Solutions for $143.5m (€104m).

While Aptiv is headquartered in Virginia, its major benefit to Icon will be its Japanese operations.

Aptiv is a development services firm, with a global reach and a focus on enhancing clinical trial decision-making, efficiency and productivity for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device firms.
