Three Ireland records pre-tax losses of €29m

Three Ireland made a pre-tax loss of €29m last year, according to the latest set of annual results from its Hong Kong-based parent, Hutchison Whampoa.

It marks a ninth consecutive annual loss for the mobile communications firm since it set up its Irish operation in 2005.

Technically, Three Ireland broke even in 2012, but that status was achieved solely because of a one- time €45m net gain, made from a network sharing arrangement recognised during the year.
