Ulster Bank has earmarked €1.2bn for business lending in the next 12 months.

The bank said the new fund is in response to growing demand from business customers and an improvement in overall confidence.

“In 2014, we are delighted to have €1.2bn available to help Irish business as the real drivers of growth, employment and confidence in our economy,” said Ulster Bank’s head of business banking, Ken Murnaghan.
