‘Hobbit’ star Nesbitt’s treasure pile rises €339k

James Nesbitt’s starring role in The Hobbit series contributed to profits at his entertainment firm rising by over €339,000.

The Derry man is best known for his award-winning role in the television dramas Bloody Sunday and Cold Feet, and has now gained worldwide recognition for his role in The Hobbit series of films.

The second of the trilogy, The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, was released worldwide last month and has generated over $750m (€552m) in box-office receipts.
