TNS Distribution acquires Oz firm
TNS — which itself was bought by Cork-based international supply chain company PCH International two years ago — is hoping to use the acquisition as a springboard to a number of other purchases aimed at building its growing global distribution strategy.
PCH group chief executive Liam Casey said the purchase is an exciting addition to the group.
“It will allow us to expand our global retail distribution services to our clients, which include some of the world’s largest brands and innovative hardware start-ups. It is one step closer for them to get their products to market.
“We’re excited about the huge opportunities available in the Australian consumer electronics retail market,” he added.
The Australian company — which was established in 1991 — is an innovative specialist distributor of consumer and IT products to the retail, reseller, lifestyle and online markets in Australia and the Asia-Pacific region.
“Acquiring Conexus will give TNS clients better access to all major retail customers in the Australian region.
“In turn, we are offering the Australian market a vast array of world-class brands that were not previously available,” said co-founder of TNS, Ivan Eustace.
