Iseq advances mirror EU and US

The Iseq Index gained 74.61 points to 4,548.90 yesterday though volumes were light with little in the way of newsflow over the Christmas period.

Markets across Europe and the US were also in positive territory. Latest figures show that retail trading in December in Ireland will be down relative to 2012.

In the financial sector Bank of Ireland dropped 0.1c to 26c, while insurer FBD Holdings shed 29c to €17.50.
