The countdown to Ireland exiting the bailout programme has begun at European level with officials studying the options and conditions for any follow-up, including a precautionary credit line.

All options are on the table, president of the eurogroup finance ministers, Jeroen Dijsselbloem, said, adding they are waiting to hear what the Irish Government wants.

Europe Minister Paschal Donohoe, who attended the eurogroup meeting, said that once today’s budget is implemented, the minister for finance, Michael Noonan will consult his colleagues and partners in the troika.
