National Pen to create 200 jobs in Dundalk
National Pen announced that it is to create 200 permanent jobs at its International HQ in Dundalk over the next five years.
The company will manufacture and sell the branded goods to Europe, Middle East and Africa from its headquarters in Ireland.
National Pen has been in Ireland for 25 years but has experienced a surge in growth as smaller businesses order more marketing materials.
Senior vice president of National Pen, Peter Kelly, said that Ireland was an ideal location for servicing the increased demand that they have experienced.
“We celebrated 25 years of business in Dundalk last year and moved to a new custom-designed facility to accommodate the growth of our international business and the demand for our products.
IDA Ireland CEO Barry O’Leary said that the decision by National Pen to expand here was an endorsement of the economy. “This project represents a major statement of confidence by National Pen in the capabilities of Dundalk and Ireland to direct and support its future international growth,” he said.
Taoiseach Enda Kenny also welcomed the announcement which, he said, was an endorsement of the policies the Government have followed.
“The creation of 200 new jobs at National Pen is fantastic news for Dundalk and the surrounding area and it demonstrates the company’s commitment to Ireland.”
