Vayu achieves 100% renewable energy

Vayu has become the first Irish energy provider to supply electricity to customers entirely from renewable sources.

According to the latest Fuel Mix and C02 Emissions report, from industry watchdog the Commission for Energy Regulation, the Dublin- based firm is the only provider in the State to achieve a 100% renewable energy rating for its electricity supply.

The latest report shows that electricity supplied by Airtricity is based on a fuel mix of 50.5% renewable, with Electric Ireland, Energia and Bord Gáis showing renewable energy ratings of 24%, 20.9% and 15.1%, respectively.
