Food companies sign €400,000 deal

Food and support services company, Compass Group Ireland, has signed a deal with Hodgins Foods in Mitchelstown, Co Cork, to provide sausages and black pudding products to its units countrywide.

The deal is valued at €400,000 a year for Hodgins Foods, which employs more than 30 people and sources all of its pork from Irish farmers.

Compass Group Ireland employs more than 3,500 people on both sides of the border, operates more than 200 units and serves in excess of 100,000 meals a day.
