Euro stocks slump to 3-week low

European stockmarkets hit a three-week low adding to losses on yesterday’s close.

Underpinning this low are cautious investors ahead the minutes from July’s meeting of the Federal Open Market Committee being made public tomorrow.

The Iseq followed suit with the rest of Europe losing 30.66 points closing at 4,179.57.

Bank stocks saw mixed results with AIB losing 0.4c to close to 7c, Bank of Ireland gained 0.1c finishing at 20.3c. Permanent TSB also gained closing to 3.5c having gained 0.2c. FBD Holding dropped 15c to €16.70.

Construction stocks all closed in negative territory. Grafton Group lost 14.8c closing to €6. CRH lost 49c to €16.79. Kingspan also lost ground at €11.53 having lost 5.5c.
