Three Ireland party pooped

What should have been a day of celebration for Three Ireland turned into a PR disaster yesterday after its network collapsed.

Thousands of Three customers were left without mobile phone services for more than six hours. Three Ireland described the problem as “a temporary service disruption” due to a transmission failure by a third-party provider. Around 400,000 of Three’s subscribers across the country had no access to the mobile phone network for the duration of the outage.

Three said it was its first nationwide network outage since the company entered the Irish market in 2005.
