Hotel operator’s sales revenues top €13m

Dromoland Castle Holdings Limited, the owner/operator of the luxury resort in Newmarket-on-Fergus, Co Clare, recorded sales revenues of €13.7m for full-year 2012.

This strong performance includes first-time revenues from The Inn at Dromoland, formally known as The Clare Inn, bought by Dromoland Castle Holdings last July.

Excluding the impact of this acquisition, underlying turnover at Dromoland Castle was up over 5% on the prior year. Overall operating profits were €1.6m, up 18% on 2011. The company’s net after-tax profit (and after depreciation) was up six-fold to over €195,000.
